BIOGRAPHY

 

An acknowledged researcher and renowned academician, Dr.N.Balasubramanian (Born on 7th April 1967) has 18 years of teaching, research, consultancy, and administrative experience (as in 2022).  Dr.N.Balasubramanian is a Professor of Chemical Engineering. He earned a Ph. D degree in chemical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. Subsequently, he spent about three years as a post-doctoral fellow at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan and CECRI, Karaikudi, India. Since then, he has been working at the Anna University, Chennai, India. He also held visiting positions at Inha University(Korea),   San Carlos University(Philippines), Monash University(Malaysia), Monash University, (Australia), Seikei University(Japan), National Cheng Kung University, (Taiwan).

 

He is currently the Director of Centre for Technology Development and Transfer at Anna University, Chennai since December 2021. Earlier, he was the Head of the Department (Chemical Engineering), Anna University, Chennai, India (2013-2016), and the Deputy Director, Centre for Research (2006-2008). Prior to that, Dr.N.Balasubramanian served as Scientist at Central Electrochemical Research Institute for 7 years (1997-2004), and held various administrative positions as Professor In-charge, A.C.Tech Computing Centre, Coordinator-Technology Enabling Centre to name a few. Before that he worked as Manager at AGRO Pulping Machinery, Madras for 1 year (1985-1996).

 

Professor Balasubrmanian is a distinguished academician and an acknowledged researcher with an h-index of 33 & i10-index of 88 and over 4403 citations (as in January 2022). He supervised 16 PhD candidates and currently guiding 6 PhD candidates. Overall he has over 132 research publications to his credit.
